That's an admirable list you have there! Good luck in getting everything accomplished. I bet it did take a while just to come up with this list and write it down. And part of the value is in the process of coming up with it - you realize what it is that's important to you. Nice job coming up with this - now it's time to get busy!

Andy! I made a dental appointment! For some reason I thought it wouldn't be for weeks--usually it takes that long to get into an office around here--but they made it for next week. I'm dyin' here. I have really bad dental phobia, which I just posted about. Must...get...through...it.

Echoing Sharnelle, Andy, how long DID IT take you to compile this?

I think it's great to put such a list of goals together, but why look forward to 2011? Why not by the end of 2009?

I hope Jaci doesn't read your blog, as there are quite a few suprises in here for her!!!

"18) Go one month without drinking alcohol - I haven’t done this since I was 16 years old. Literally (and pathetically)."
- Mom is going to freak when she reads this one.

"19) Make a big ‘ol turkey for Thanksgiving."
- You should fry a turkey. You have not lived until you have eaten this artery-clogging goodness.

"29) Complete the hot wing challenge at Buffalo Wild Wings"
- Have you TRIED the sauce? Jarrod and I were going to order the hottest wings they had because we both love spicy food, and they suggested we try the sauce first before wasting our money. So glad we did, because it was the hottest shit I have ever laid a tastebud on. It makes Hooters 911 wings taste like sesame chicken. Good luck with that one!

"37) Karaoke R.E.M.’s “It’s the End of the World As We Know It” or Billy Joel’s “We Didn’t Start the Fire.”"
- I've done We Didn't Start The Fire - it's not too bad!

"46) Watch at least 5 movies from my buddy Brandon’s collection"
- OK, I just have to say that I get the SAME THING from all my and Jarrod's friends! I don't know what you and I were doing as kids, but we weren't watching movies.

"54) Find one of those “tractor sprinklers” that follows the hose around the yard."
- Don't try to jump through one of those! LOL

"55) Learn to like Onions"
- I could not survive in Cajun country without liking onions. I would starve!

"61) Grow some type of vegetable in my back yard"
- HOw about rhubarb? It IS a vegetable!

"65) Make some homemade Macaroni and Cheese - the kind you bake in the oven with real cheddar cheese and condensed milk."
- Email Miss Angie about this. You'll be glad you did!

"82) Visit my sister in New Orleans and eat as much seafood as I want"
- Gotta come between February and May. Crawfish season! Woot!!

"97) Get my butt waxed or convince Jaci to do it - I have a legeitimate reason for this but I am not going to get into it here."

T. M. Frickin' I.!!!!

XOXOXOXO

Interesting list! You've got about 3 years, right? That sounds about right. I love how you've embedded some things that obviously go together (hot dogs/chili/toilet paper) and others that conflict with one another. I don't see the list as setting up pressure for yourself but more as setting intent for growth.

Wow! Best of luck! I think you'll find it a very entertaining way to live. I don't feel a whole lot of pressure, in a negative way. But I do feel very motivated, and excited that I'm actually going to get around to doing these things.

I am so glad that Mom made the woody comment first, because I was thinking EXACTLY the same thing when I saw that picture! I was going to say, "Andy, next time, don't wear white shorts." LOL

I'm proud of you though. I hate bike-riding for the sole reason of sore ass.
