"Instead of fighting wars we need to be spending money on developing ways to combat the inevitable changes that are going to occur sooner than later"

Although I agree that more could be done to encourage recycling and stuff, I see the terrorists in the Middle East as a much more dangerous threat than global warming. Global warming might be a serious issue for our kids or grandkids, but terrorists are a real threat right now. If we don't kill them on their soil, they WILL come over and do another 9/11 on us. THEY HATE AMERICANS. And they will do whatever they can to bring us down.

You bring up some very good points, Andy. I personally believe that we are going through a natural climate cycle right now. If you look at the changes that the Earth has gone through since its conception, this is the best climate that has ever existed. At one point, the earth was covered in ice for thousands of years. At another time, it was dried up and ashy for thousands of years. Some other drastic climate change is bound to happen, and we as humans are foolish to think that we can do something to dramatically alter Mother Nature. Look at the dinosaurs... a whole entire species wiped out by a meteor. And all the recycling in the world could not have changed their fate. Not to say we shouldn't conserve our resources, because it can't hurt. I'm just saying that we would be powerless over a huge natural disaster, global warming or not.

My best advice is to use your faith to overcome your fears about this issue. If you truly believe that there is a God and he is watching out for you, then trust Him. He always knows what is best. Remember: fear is the opposite of faith. Love ya, bro.

XOXOXOXO

Considering the government is very much involved with the global warming/climate change fiasco, I'd say it's pretty safe to say it is a political discussion, wouldn't you?

"Maybe I am crazy for wanting a better world for my kids."

So subscribing to global warming, which is based entirely on unverifiable computer models is making the world safer for your kids?

What reality are you living in, Andy?

Hey Andy, by the way, whatever happened to the ice age these same global warming people pushed for back in the 1970's? I know your response will be something on the lines of, "back then, we didn't have the technologies that we have now."

So I guess those 30,072 scientists are all wrong, huh? According to Al Gore, they all belong to the same class of people who think the moon landing was staged, along with those who believe the Earth is flat.

Oh, and one more thing, Andy: Have you ever asked yourself why Al Gore has so much of his own money invested in carbon credit companies? Hmmmm...let's put two and two together here ....

I'll say no more.
